Illinois Transfer Coordinators Leadership History
Compiling this historical record began in 1994 and has proven challenging because the organization operated without a formal structure from its founding in 1971. G. Robert Darnes initiated the group and provided its early leadership.
Initially, two separate organizations were established—the Junior College Coordinators and the Senior College Coordinators. Each group elected its own chair, met independently, and held one joint meeting each year. Over time, the two organizations merged, adopted a co-chair leadership model with two-year terms, and became what is now known as the Transfer Coordinators of Illinois Colleges and Universities.
As additional historical information becomes available, this record will be updated to reflect a more complete history of the organization.
