Do Curricular Revisions Require Panel Review?
If your institution has made significant revisions to an IAI-approved course, the course may need to be resubmitted for panel review to ensure it continues to meet current IAI approval criteria. Institutions should submit a revised course when substantial changes have been made to one or more of the following:
- Course Description – A significant revision or complete rewrite beyond minor wording changes.
- Student Learning Outcomes – Major revisions, additions, removals, or a complete rewrite.
- Topical Outline – Significant additions, deletions, or reorganization of course topics.
- Course Content – Major changes to course content, particularly the addition or removal of required topics.
If you are unsure whether your curricular revisions require panel review, contact the IAI office at itransfer@itransfer.org before submitting.
