Civil Engineering Discipline Course Recommendations
The courses listed below, in addition to the prerequisite coursework, are recommended for students who plan to begin their studies at one Illinois institution and transfer to another to complete a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. These recommendations are intended to support successful transfer and timely progress toward the major. Students should consult with an academic advisor early and regularly when planning their coursework.

Civil Engineering Core Courses (7-14 semester credits)
EGR 941 - Engineering Graphics/CAD (2-4 semester credits)
EGR 942 - Statics (2-3 semester credits)
and either
EGR 943 - Dynamics (2-3 semester credits each)
or
EGR 944 - [Combined] Statics and Dynamics (5 semester credits)
EGR 945 - Strength of Materials/Mechanics of Solids (5 semester credit)
