Best Practices for Course Submitters
This page is meant to assist submitters with suggestions and things that work in getting courses approved. These suggestions come from our many submitters

Use checklists! These quick reference guides help you collect information from faculty. They provide submitters the opportunity to explain a bit about IAI, what submission materials should include, other pertinent information to help courses get approved the first time they are submitted. Checklists can be general or made specifically for each discipline/panel within IAI. When we get examples of actual checklist institutions are using, we will load them below.

Utilize campus content experts! Have people who are experts in the discipline with an understanding of IAI (you might have to train them a bit) be a second set of eyes on syllabi you are going to submit. We have an example from Kennedy King College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, in which they use Curriculum Facilitators and Assessment Liaisons in their articulation office and departments to review syllabi before they go into the panel.
