The Students Occupationally and Academically Ready (SOAR) Program allows qualified high school students enrolled in approved career and technical Programs of Study to receive college credit toward a diploma, certification or degree in a similar program at a post-secondary and higher education institution.
These credits do not usually assist with credits for the IAI general education courses. Sometimes they can provide credit to some majors' courses. However, this isn't guaranteed and can depend on the institution. Agreements established between the school you are transferring from and the school you are transferring to can affect the acceptance of such courses. We recommend checking with your advisors at your current or past institution and the school you are transferring to. This will help you in obtaining a clear picture of how your credits will transfer.
