 4. Course Approval Criteria and Submission Process - Review materials 

            a.  Calc III – possible prerequisite change?

                        i.  931 and 931L

                        ii.  Need panel feedback via email – David Smith will coordinate

            b.  Dynamics – Vibrations

                        i.  Most 4 years don’t have vibrations in Dynamic classes.

                        ii.  Western does.  Alan Edgecombe will talk to Western.

            c.  3D Rigid Body – Alan will talk with a few people.

            d.  Mike Miller will work on wording to add a 9th outcome and email the panel.

 

5. Items from Panel Members

            a.  Alan – New Courses.  Did survey – how many schools offer these courses?

                        Intro to Engineering – 13

                        Thermodynamics – 13

                        Computer Architecture – 6

                        Engineering Economics – 6

                Do we want to create a descriptor for any of these?  Thermodynamics is the most likely to start with – used to be a descriptor – EGR 946.  Alan and David will work on for Spring.

            b.  Joe – Numerical Methods descriptor

                        Could be taught at 200 level as a computer class. Will work on EGR 922 for Spring.
