  1. Review Conditionally Approved Courses submitted and try to make decisions on them

  1.  IAI Information
    1. Website information, training and orientation discussion, questions from members about IAI

  1. Other items from members
    1. Can we as a panel have more than 4 courses?  Panel wants to discuss this.
      1. Introduction to Business may belong in the list as a course students should take in their 1st 2 yrs and transfer it easily via IAI.
        1. Many 4 yrs want students to take it at their institution to help start building themselves for the institution model.
      2. Legal Enviornment course may be the better one to add. However, some 4 yrs want it to be a Junior level course.
      3. Plan of Action – panel will look at student outcomes and course descriptions. Globalization should be included in descriptors.  We want these to be accurate before reactivating any course.  Krista will send an email to the panel – what are 4 yrs currently doing?  She will also submit this to the listserv for the Legal course.  She will place a small inquiry at the bottom regarding the Intro course.
        1. Inquiry 1st.  December 15th-ish for panel to look at, January to listserv for Spring meeting.
    2. For 5 year review, only call courses we’re sure our information is up to date on.
      1. Stick with Accounting courses for now. 903 and 904, 10 each
  2. If course review criteria changes, courses would get caught in 5 year review.  No need for institutions to resubmit all.
    1. Panel doesn’t need/want to require Master Syllabi.
    2. Criteria is redundant – needs to be redone.
      1. When reviewing, panel uses outcomes in description, returns course if it doesn’t match outcomes.  If we can come up with a few other reasons why courses are returned, this will substantially improve the criteria.
        1. Reasons for Returns
          1. Doesn’t match descriptor
          2. Outdated textbooks
          3. No detailed course outline
          4. Not a current Syllabus
        2. Put checklist items in each course descriptor?
          1. Krista will use the checklist to revise criteria, then email panel soon.  Hope to post new criteria for Spring.
  3. Representative Syllabus – we need to let Instructors know their information is seen. Panel is asked to review these.
    1. Faculty Tab on itransfer.org
    2. Major Course Numbers and Titles
    3. Description
  4. Co-Chairs
    1. John is no longer co-chair
    2. Linda Hefferin is now the 2 yr Co-Chair
    3. Lori Marcellus 4 yr Co-Chair term is up.
    4. Krista will email all 4 yr people on the panel, ask for nominations.
