  1.  Introductions and make sure technology is working.

 

  1. Training, Orientation & itransfer.org Updates
    1. After a very busy summer of evaluating IAI, there is room for improvement.  The end result is a new and improved Policies and Procedures Manual.
      1. Unique roles each of us play for effectiveness
      2. 5 yr Review is now Ongoing Review – panel manager will decide which identifier(s) will be reviewed, never more than 50 courses.
      3. Panel Member Turnover
        1. 3 year term – not lifetime bondage
        2. Gratitude for service rendered
        3. Don’t want the service to be burdensome
        4. New people bring fresh perspective
      4. IBHE, ICCB and iTransfer representation at every GECC meeting for standardization
    2. Expectations of Panel Members
      1. Attendance and Participation
      2. Review and vote on courses before meeting
    3. Enhancements to iTransfer.org website in January
      1. Training program for panels (required)
      2. Includes more for Vets/Military students
      3. Visually familiar – more intuitive
      4. Panel Related Docs – dramatic changes – information will be available panel-by-panel
      5. iManage enhancements for simplification

  2. We are in need of a 2 yr Co-Chair.  The new co-Chair is Joy Branlund
  3. Other – developmental phase of a new Environmental Science course.
    1. Joy Branlund is proposing a new identifier.  She will email her documents to panel members.
    2. This will be a Sustainability course.  Joy surveyed these type courses nationwide, and has written a draft of a new identifier that would be an Interdisciplinary course.

 

  1. Next meetings will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 and Friday November 21, 2014 at ISU Alumni Center or Heartland Community College.
