4. Course Approval Criteria and Submission Process - Review materials

5. Items from Panel Members

            a.  Data from PMGE:  Kathy Almy will email document to panel members.  Good results.

            b.  Transferology and quarter hour credit system – only a couple of institutions are on

quarter hour system.  How to transfer to privates?  Each institution sets their own

standards.  Also more than one way to articulate courses.  Eg 2 plus 2 agree-

                        ments, Form 13’s

            c.  Sara must step down as co-chair due to a promotion.  She will be Transfer Coordi-

nator instead, and John Hill will be our new 4 year co-chair.

            d.  Textbooks – movement towards open-source as long as its clearly identified on

syllabus.  Panel needs to ensure that outline items match IAI descriptor – not

which text they use.  If no textbook, provide 3 samples and maybe could be

approved.  Online courses do not be submitted separately.

            e.  Course descriptor M1906 edited in meeting.
