Panel submitted individual course matrix worksheets related to general ed math courses: Quant Lit/Gen Ed Stats/College Algebra.
ACTION: IMACC Curriculum and ISMAA Two – year committees will submit matrix feedback to John.
Course Decision Making Criteria – no comments
Statistics Course Descriptions
Need a policy for paired courses, like Int. Alg + part of Gen Ed Stats. These paired courses will become more common submissions to the panel.
ACTION: Send the separation of Gen Ed Stats/Bus Stats courses to IMACC Curriculum Committee. 902 A/B and BUS 109. One has College Algebra pre-req, and the other does not. We need to go back to IMACC /ISMAA – since this is already in the Guide – but one of them in not listed as Gen Ed.
Business Calculus Course Descriptions. Discussion regarding topics and transfer issues. Business Panel and Math Majors panels were consulted. Business Panel does not require LaGrange Multipliers in Business Calculus. Math Majors panel defers to Business Panel. Transfer problems may be directed to Sam Wheeler.

PMGE – new dev ed course approved by both IMACC and ISMAA organizations. Comments, There will be future discussion about Geometry and paired courses with content across more than one course.
The IAI Panel follows the IMACC/ISMAA Articulation Guide. We link it in the Panel Documents. When the Articulation Guide is updated, the IAI will update the link. Panel members will be informed when the Guide is updated, but will not vote on the updates.
If we must call a 5-year course review for Fall, it should be Finite Math. Sam will discuss with Krysta and let the Co-Chairs Mary and Steve know if this will be on the next agenda.

The Panel requests that in the future “paired courses “submit the syllabus for the pre-req as well as the course.
