4. Course Approval Criteria and Submission Process - Review materials

            a.  Objectives and outcomes seem to be coming in badly worded

            b.  Applied BIO courses – coming in as Ongoing Review

            c.  May need to change some descriptors to address breadth

            d.  Co-chairs will edit criteria and send out to the panel members for approval

5. Items from Panel Members

            a.  Krista will query for courses by identifier, institution course name, approval date, and

number of courses per institution for ongoing review.

            b. Malinda will look for statement that was sent out about ending the following courses.

If she can’t find it, it will need to be written:

                        i. A & P/Human

                        ii.  Zoology

                        iii.  Botany

                        iv.  Microbiology

                        v.  Nutrition

                        vi.  Horticulture

  2. Clean up courses that are no longer GenEd because descriptor has ended

  3. Panel wants to craft a “don’t ever submit this again” statement

  4. For ongoing review, make sure all community colleges have some courses on books, stagger ending dates so institutions have time to adjust and plan.

  6. Announce at TC meeting 11-18-14:  Applied Science descriptor – courses currently under review, but institutions will be given time to go through curricular process.
