Course Approval Criteria and Submission Process – Review materials

Writing clarification on criteria edited in meeting.  Krista will fix on website

Items From Panel Members

Conversation re D/N designations.  Bigger discussion will start at Steering.  One panel member is concerned by descriptors and wants to see which ones need more gender and ethnic diversity.

Ben Almassi (Governors State Univ.) – New descriptor for Social & Political Philosophy

Ben also worked on a descriptor for American Ethnic History.  Descriptor edited in meeting and emailed to panel members

Further review of descriptors can’t be done in panel meetings due to not having enough time after coursework review.  IAI has no funding for food, but consider having a 1-day workshop with potential sponsor/institution.

Next meeting Friday, November 17, 2017  ISU Alumni Center, Room 119
